So many athletes completely neglect calisthenic training.  Calisthenic training is not very glamorous and many people don't think it look as cool as benching.  The fact of the matter, however, is that calisthenic training is great way to increase strength.   Individuals who have been training with a basic weight lifting program for some time should consider changing their training. 

Not only do calisthenics increase strength, but they can help build endurance.  Often they work smaller stabilization muscles which are not worked in basic weight lifting exercises. 

Calisthenics training is very beneficial for athletes.  It helps build endurance as well as strength.  Many athletes neglect calisthenics training and miss out on the great opportunity they have to increase strength.

To benefit from these and other workouts or  programs you must eat right and drink plenty of water.  That means that you need to be eating lots of protein and drinking 6-8 glasses of water each day.

 Our Spartan Workout Program is a great program for athletes who want to gain a high level of fitness.  It stresses endurance and muscular toning over strength.  Athletes doing this workout program will increase their strength, but that increase will be small.  The biggest benefits of the Spartan Workout Program are endurance and explosiveness.
